NFPA 101, The Life Safety Code, has been around since 1913 and is, as the title suggests, dedicated to safety to life. Fire Sprinklers are certainly a vital part of any methodology to provide safe buildings. The life safety aspect is certainly of great importance in residential occupancies. We all deserve to be safe in the places we live, and sleep and the fire sprinkler provisions of the code are crucial.
The residential chapters consist of: Chapters 24, 26, 28, 29, 30 and 31 and deal with One- and Two-Family Homes, Lodging or Rooming Houses, New and existing Hotels and Dormitories, and New and Existing Apartment Buildings.
This seminar will highlight the requirements of these chapters as it relates to our industry, the fire sprinkler industry and is important for all of us in the fire protection community.
